LEAF Korean Prayer Mission 2016

Press Release: LEAF Korean Prayer Mission 2016

For Immediate Release

This week sees the return of not one but three groups of Korean Pilgrims of Prayer as the LEAF Korean Prayer Mission begins on Wednesday 29th June. Last June say a single team of a dozen pilgrims visiting Lyndhurst and staying with the Revd. Dr James Bruce of St Michaels and All Angels church. This year the 3 teams are arriving at St Michaels but then being sent out to bless churches in Ringwood, Hardly/Hythe and the village of Tiptoe. Speaking of this years mission LEAF Administrator Brian Edgeley said "last years prayer mission was a wonderful time of blessing for the churches where the South Koreans visited. Their prayer for God to once again bless the ministry of the church is humbling and their passion for prayer encourages us also to pray, especially in these times of disunity and national uncertainty." The UK Prayer Mission 2016 sees twelve teams as a whole arriving in England to visit UK Churches and various special events are planned throughout the New Forest who are hosting a quarter of the UK teams. Pastor Adam Skirton of Poulner Baptist Chapel in Ringwood, who is hosting a team of 14 Koreans, said in anticipation of the forthcoming mission: "We have really appreciated the partnership with the South Korean church who have joined us in praying recently for the LOVE RINGWOOD project and we're delighted to be able to host a team and meet some of them face-to-face, we have various events booked and are taking the group out to meet many of the local leaders at their churches!" The team staying at Poulner Baptist Chapel are due to meet with Ringwood's Mayor and Town Clerk later in the week when they have a guided walk-of-prayer from the Ringwood Gateway building. The mission runs until Sunday evening 3rd July.
