Press Release: Opening Event for HOPE 2014 a great success!

Live Band Night at the Three Tuns Pub Bransgore

Press Release: For Immediate release.

HOPE: Across the New Forest kicked off last night with a Community Band Night at the Three Tuns Pub in Bransgore. The evening was well attended and locals spilled out onto the pubs terraced garden and grounds as the bands played in the Barn. The 17th Century award winning country pub hosted the event after organisers of the Bransgore HOPE events approached them earlier in the year. Organiser Mark Austin said “This was a great opportunity for the three churches in Bransgore and Moorlands College to work together to bless the local community... there was a great atmosphere in an around the pub and it was all very relaxed and a great success. It was also a great chance for all the Moorlands students to meet and get to know people. We are also really looking forward to the Barn Dance on Saturday evening at the Bransgore Village Hall and assisting with the Fun Run on Sunday”. During this weekend 150 students from Moorlands College in Sopley will be assisting the churches throughout the New Forest to work within their communities doing community clean up projects, running barbecues and even opening a pop-up skate park in Tiptoe.

Roy CrowneHOPE 2014 is the brainchild of Roy Crowne a graduate of Moorlands College himself and now Executive Director of HOPE Together, an organisation created to stimulate churches across the country to work together in unity for the good of their local communities. A spokeswoman for HOPE Together said yesterday that Roy and the whole of the HOPE Together team in Rugby were ‘Thrilled’ at all that was being achieved in the New Forest.

The HOPE Across the New Forest weekend continues until Sunday.
